Wiggle Butts started when we decided to get a second dog. Our family already had one dog (Panda) who is a  standard size Border Collie/Aussie mix and we thought she was a really smart, loving dog plus a helping hand on the farm. After researching Australian Shepherds I came across a website with the breed standards. On the page is where I learned about the smaller version of the Aussie.  It was like a light bulb turned on and I knew that Miniature Aussies were perfect for me.

Not only is the breed with the same energy, mind set, and attitude, they come in a smaller package! My Aussie can still run with the "big dogs" and also fit in nicely into my lap.  I possess a love for Mini Aussies that no one can take away, and with that love I wish to better the breed and preserve the history.  Im breeding to improve and preserve the temperament, structure, type and genetic health of Australian Shepherds. I want to focus my breeding program in researching compatibility between the sire and dam to produce the most favorable dog. Considering color as a factor, to defer away from the double merle gene that has a high probability of being blind or deaf. I want to breed my dogs to be versitle; Brains and beauty.

The Name Game: Wiggle Butts, Have you ever met a Mini Aussie before? Well the first time you ever meet a Mini Aussie, all you will see is this adorable face looking at you and this butt following it swinging side to side like an out of control tail. Since Aussie have docked tails, there left with a little stump, and hence the name wiggle butts. My aussies greet me every day with excitement, happiness and that little butt wiggling.

My Aussies are exposed to everything that you can find out on a farm. Cows, chickens, horses, kids, trucks, semis, and tractors. Having being able to expose a puppy to all the different things lets us get a better understanding on what they will be able to achieve when they grow up,  whether it be: herding, agility, fly ball, conformation, or a family member. Understanding this, we can match the right puppy to your needs.  Training starts with me, so with each puppy I can work with you and your puppy so you both can have a great start to a wonderful friendship.

Unlike other breeders, I'm small. Even though were just starting out, I plan to stay small.  I like to give each individual dog attention and training.  My female will not have more than one litter a year.
